Strong Start Program
The Strong Start program allows women to start their prenatal care early while their Medicaid application is being processed. Holy Family will provide prenatal care for a period of 60 days or until 28 weeks in the pregnancy (whichever comes first). This includes the initial OB interview with the nurse, physical examination with PAP smear, STD testing and treatment, and follow-up visits. If you are not approved for Medicaid during this time period you will have to find a new provider but will NOT be billed for the care you have already received. (You may still be responsible for bills from outside labs.) Learn more about if you might be eligible for Health Insurance coverage under Medicaid.
